How to use it
Press Start. Rio settles into a curl inside the timer ring and stays there until the bell.
Work while he sleeps. If you look over now and then, you may catch him breathing or twitching an ear.
When the bell rings, Rio wakes up and stretches. That is your cue to stand up and stretch too.
Tap or stroke Rio in the app and he purrs.
Why a cat makes a good study buddy
Rio is a real cat: pure white, very fluffy, with a red collar and a tiny gold bell. Every painting of him starts from a photo, and the Meet Rio page shows them side by side. In the timer he behaves the way cats do at a desk: he sleeps while you work and gets up when you do.
He never gets sad, sick or upset if you skip a day. There is no streak to keep and no pet to look after, just company while you study.
