Vivek Kumar
Founder of BlueBurp Studio and Rio’s person. I make Petmodoro, and I write the articles on this site.
Why Petmodoro exists
Rio is my cat. He is pure white, very fluffy, and he has firm opinions about where I sit. When I work at my desk, he settles in beside it and falls asleep, and the desk feels a lot less lonely.
I wanted a timer that felt like that: a quiet companion, no guilt and no noise. So I made Petmodoro, a Pomodoro® timer with Rio in it.
Every picture of Rio in Petmodoro is based on the real Rio: the same white fur, the same plume tail, the same red collar and tiny gold bell. Only the real one sheds.
What I promise
- Everything that is free today stays free: the timer, Rio and his basic sounds.
- No ads on the timer screen, ever.
- If there is ever a Pro version, it is one purchase, not a subscription, and Pro never earns faster than free.
- Rio never gets sad, sick or cross if you skip a day.
- No reminders unless you ask for them, and never more than one a day.
- No cookies and no tracking scripts on this website.
Vivek
I agreed to all of this. I was asleep, but I agreed. (Rio)

The first articles are on their way.
How I write
I read the sources, try the advice with the timer myself, and update an article when something changes. Every article lists its sources.
BlueBurp Studio
Petmodoro is made and published by BlueBurp Studio. It is a small studio: one person, one sleepy cat, and a long list of calm, useful things to make. Petmodoro is the one Rio supervises most closely.
