Aesthetic study timer
25:00
Focus
A study timer that is nice to look at: soft watercolor paper, little notes in the margins, and Rio asleep in his sunny room while the paint fills the ring. Press Start and leave it open beside your work.
Add a sound
Opens the full timer with Rio’s painted room beside the clock.
How to use it
Press Start. The ring fills with peach paint as the minutes pass, so you can see how far along you are with one glance.
Open the full timer to see Rio’s room. On a laptop it sits beside the clock; it follows the time of day, so evenings look softer than mornings.
Pull the lamp cord at the top of the page for the night colors when you study late.
Add the rain sound if you like the feeling of a rainy window while you work.
Why a calm screen helps you stay put
A timer you leave open for hours should be pleasant to look at and quiet about it. Petmodoro’s pages are paper and paint, with no flashing numbers, pop-ups or ads around the clock, so a glance tells you the time left and nothing else asks for your attention.
Everything is drawn in one storybook watercolor style, from Rio to his cushion. The aim is a corner of your screen that feels like a desk you would want to sit at.

Questions
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. Pull the lamp cord at the top of any page for night colors. The timer app follows your device’s setting, and you can choose light or dark in its settings.
Can I keep the timer on screen while I work?
On a laptop, open the mini timer: a small window with the time and Rio’s face that stays on top of your other windows.
Who paints the pictures?
Every picture follows the real Rio and is made in one soft watercolor style for Petmodoro. You can see the real photos next to the paintings on the Meet Rio page.
